Who can be a member of SOCON?

Any patriot who wants to develop personally and professionally, including military, law enforcement, first responders, and civilians.

I am part of the SOCON Facebook Page. Am I a SOCON member?

Not yet. SOCON members have officially signed up through this website. Paid members receive new member kits and have additional access to the SOCON community.

Do I have to be in the military or law enforcement to participate in SOCON?

SOCON is an open community designed to help bring like-mined patriots together in service of our country and communities.

I have served our country. How do I fit into the SOCON community?

With the SOCON community, you have the opportunity to share your expertise as well as continue your own learning.

What is a Verified Member?

If you served your country or community, you may submit official paperwork to be verified and appropriately vetted.

What is SOCON's stance on a member misrepresenting themself?

We have memberships and opportunities available to all who consider themselves patriots. Because of our acceptance policy, we expect all of our members to accurately represent themselves at all times. Members found misrepresenting themselves will be removed as a SOCON member with no refund.

How long until I receive my new member kit?

Member kits usually arrive in 4-6 weeks after you sign up for a paid membership.

I did not upload a photo or uploaded a photo that did not follow the photo guidelines. What now?

Photos that follow the guidelines are needed to make your ID card. New members without an uploaded photo that follows the guidelines will receive an e-mail requesting an appropriate photo. If a photo is not uploaded within the 2-4 week window after registering, a member kit will be sent without a SOCON ID card.

Where do I find training in my area?

Our Training program has officially started! Check out the events calendar (add link) to find training opportunities near you. We are also establishing a SOCON Certified Instructor program for qualified individuals.

How can I meet other SOCON members?

SOCON members utilize social media, forums, member socials, and member shoots to meet each other. There are SOCON members across the country. See the map here.

How is SOCON different than other membership communities?

SOCON’s mission is to build a community of patriots that strive to better themselves, their families, and their communities. We are building a strong community through member socials, online conversations, and trainings. Our focus is to build each other up in the spirit of brotherhood.

Where did the Alliance Membership go?

We were unable to continue our Alliance Membership. Members who signed up for an Alliance membership previous to March 1st will have access to the SOCON Forums through September 11th 2015. Please see our SOCON Group page for free access to the community.
